Quest & NBS Conference 2014

Quest & NBS 2014 Conference, Loughborough, 27 February 2014

We had a fantastic turn out again this year, thank you to everyone who attended! If you didn't make it, you can view the presentations below.

As well as revealing planned improvements to Quest, the conference will feature high-profile industry speakers, including Carl Bennett, interim chair of CIMPSA (the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity), and Kevin Mills, Sport England’s strategic lead for capital projects and facilities.

Caroline Constantine, Quest Operations Director, says: “We’re delighted to be holding our 4th annual conference; our last three conferences were full to capacity and we’re looking forward to a similar response this year. We’ll be reflecting on everything we learned in 2013 as well as revealing some exciting changes to Quest for 2014. We’ve got some fantastic speakers lined up and delegates can expect to come away with plenty of ideas on how to boost their centre or team’s service and performance.”

There will also be a wide range of workshops to choose from on topics ranging from safeguarding children, led by NSPCC national development officer Nick Slinn, to digital marketing trends. Other workshops will include an introduction to swim21 – the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) swim-school accreditation, which from this year will be offered as an optional module within Quest – and an NBS industry consultation, to consult with the sector on future developments for the scheme.

Mike Hill, the NBS scheme director, says: “We are looking forward to consulting with leaders and senior managers from the sector on the future direction and shape of the NBS. It is essential that the NBS reacts to changes in the sector in order to remain relevant, cost-effective and valuable.”
