This is a 2 year cycle with a mystery visit and a 2 day assessment in year 1. One year later the centre will have a choice of an NPS (Net Promoter Closed Loop Survey) or a mystery visit which will be conducted by a non-leisure professional, and a 1 day review.

Quest for Sport Development has been completely overhauled moving away from auditing inputs and processes towards a more focused approach looking at outputs and impacts. The process will be more mentoring-led. We have reviewed and improved the self-assessment process, and a new flexible one or two day assessment has been designed to promote improved efficiency and effectiveness.
Our aim is to provide a practical and helpful framework for success and quality in service delivery. Our assessments are conducted by industry practitioners who are our team of highly experienced assessors. We have replaced the old percentage scoring system with a banded assessment of performance and will provide a better benchmarking service across all core areas so that best practice can be celebrated, shared and promoted. We want to encourage innovation/enterprise in sports development but we also want to recognise existing best practice in the field.
Sport Development will be updated with Quest 2014 later this year
