This is for large centres who feel they would get more from the assessment if they had an extra day to give the assessor more time to see the whole centre.
If a site has achieved Quest Entry and wishes to upgrade to Quest Plus, they can purchase an extra day to be assessed on 3 generic modules and 2 specific modules of their choice, and added to their report providing access to rated bandings. If they pass, at the end of this day they will be awarded Quest Plus.
Upgrades MUST happen within 6 months of the original Quest Entry anniversary date.
The Quest Test Drive is to help make the jump from your own self assessment to independent external assessment. We have introduced the Quest Test Drive - a no risk, cost effective option.
The Quest Test Drive is a one day review of your performance against the Quest Best Practice, undertaken by an experienced Quest Assessor, and providing an instant indication of your progress in a simple user friendly format. With no score, no pass or fail, the emphasis is on reviewing systems and practice, helping the centre to get on the right track before their next/ first assessment.
The Quest Test Drive is currently focused on both Quest 2012 FM and SD, covering all areas of sport, leisure and culture. The costs are below as of today's date.
• For a Quest registered site the cost is £450 plus VAT and the expenses of the assessor to a maximum of £100
• For non-Quest registered sites the cost is £500 plus VAT and the expenses of the assessor to a maximum of £100

Key to Quest 2012 is the introduction of three different levels of assessments.
Quest Entry is a one-day, operational assessment aimed at smaller and community sites.
Quest Plus is a two day assessment, which includes a one-day operational assessment plus the option to select day-two modules.
Quest Stretch will feature an unannounced day-one assessment, plus a second day validation focussing on a centre’s approach to measuring impact and outcomes. This advanced award is designed to challenge sites that already have an excellent rating and wish to push themselves even further.
Another change is that sites will no longer receive a percentage score, instead they will be awarded a banded score with ranges unsatisfactory, satisfactory, good, excellent or outstanding (which can only be awarded to sites participating in Quest Stretch).
Please note that there is now a threshold score for health and safety compliance. If a centre does not reach this threshold the will not achieve full Quest recognition.
We are delighted to inform centres that our prices have reduced.

Key Changes
Quest for Sport Development has been completely overhauled moving away from auditing inputs and processes towards a more focused approach looking at outputs and impacts. The process will be more mentoring-led. We have reviewed and improved the self-assessment process, and a new flexible one or two day assessment has been designed to promote improved efficiency and effectiveness.
Our aim is to provide a practical and helpful framework for success and quality in service delivery. Our assessments are conducted by industry practitioners who are our team of highly experienced assessors. We have replaced the old percentage scoring system with a banded assessment of performance and will provide a better benchmarking service across all core areas so that best practice can be celebrated, shared and promoted. We want to encourage innovation/enterprise in sports development but we also want to recognise existing best practice in the field.
We launched this model on July 1st. Any teams that are due an assessment before September 30th can choose whether they go through Quest 2012 Sport Development or Version 3 Sport Development. As from 1st October all teams will automatically go through Quest 2012 Sport Development.
